What a day of nostalgia
This afternoon I flew to Boston. Weirdly excited to go back to the place I called home before COVID and it seemed like it was so long ago— almost like it didn’t happen.
Nothing can match the 46 minute flight from Philly to Boston and how many times Cree and I took that trip.
I’m with my girlfriend who was a coworker turned friend for life and we are heading back to our old stomping grounds, BarTaco.
So I just want to take a moment to reflect. On everything Boston gave me.
My first job that introduced me to the corporate world and some forever friends.
Getting to meet family that I probably would’ve never ran into.
Eating a lot of popcorn because I hated cooking and was poor.
True independence, when I lived in Philly I knew someone was just an hour away but living in Boston I got to truly discover what I did on my own, identify my different habits, and the crazy things I did just because I could.
I’m so grateful for the different twists and turns life has presented me.
Two things I can’t say enough, I encourage younger people to leave their hometown if they have the option.
College did it for me and Career did it x10. Being uncomfortable and unfamiliar with a location allows you to grow and you can get to see who you truly are.
I love every phase of growth and it’s nice to come back and say look how far I’ve come.
It’s a sweet moment.
I’m grateful.
Now I’m ready for tacos and margs!!! And girl time with one of my favorite ladies
All my love
